Etching entitled Ã,Â"Femme Vue de DosÃ,Â" by Pablo Picasso This is an outstanding reverse etching of a work by artistic genius, Picasso. Offered from the Marina Picasso Collection is this exceptional quality Limited Edition Lithograph which was created on hand drawn Lithographic plates after Pablo Picasso's painting under the supervision of Marcel Salinas, the renowned chromist who worked closely with Picasso during Picasso's lifetime. It was produced on 100% acid free museum quality Arches paper. The image was chosen by Picasso's granddaughter from his paintings she inherited from the Estate of Pablo Picasso. This excellent work of art is tremendously framed and matted in a purple and black double mat and gold contemporary style frame, and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The entire size of this piece is 29.75Ã,Â" x 25.5Ã,Â" This is a truly remarkable piece at an outstanding price. Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881, in MÃf¡laga, Spain. The son of an academic painter, JosÃf© Ruiz Blanco, he began to draw at an early age. In 1895, the family moved to Barcelona, and Picasso studied there at La Lonja, the academy of fine arts. In 1900, PicassoÃ,Â's first exhibition took place in Barcelona, and that fall he went to Paris for the first of several stays during the early years of the century. In 1932, with large exhibitions at the Galeries Georges Petit, Paris, and the Kunsthaus ZÃf¼rich, and the publication of the first volume of Christian ZervosÃ,Â's catalogue raisonnÃf©, PicassoÃ,Â's fame increased markedly. By 1936, the Spanish Civil War had profoundly affected Picasso. In 1961, the artist moved to Mougins. There Picasso continued his prolific work in painting, drawing, prints, ceramics, and sculpture until his death April 8, 1973.
