The Tall Ships are in!! Wonderful colorized etching of Newport, Rhode Island Harbor @ 1890 as signified by date on etching. Original frame; I have included in the photos, pictures of the minimal damage to the frame. You can also see some foxing and a little staining under the glass. "Reminiscences of Newport Harbor. Etched by John F.W. Mielatz." Quotation marks are mine. This shows the Newport Harbor with the "Tall Ships" coming in to the docks to be unloaded; you can see the old cranes on the dock. The signature is still very evident in person; a little tough to get through the glass; looks like artist used very fine etching pen. Overall size of the etching is 33 1/2 inches long, by 23 3/8 inches wide. On sight size is 19 3/4 inches long and 8 5/8 inches high. A great addition to your home or office, especially if you were able to see the "Tall Ships" in Newport this year.
