8 Ethiopian Opal Natural Pieces - small - WHOLESALE LOT These super quality Opals are from Ethiopia. The Opals have lots of coloured flash when moved through light. Opal is a hydrated silicon dioxide material with a hardness of 5.5 . Opal is composed of sub-microscopic silica spheres that are bonded together with water and additional silica. In Roman history Opal was linked to good luck and hope. These gorgeous pieces are nicer in real life than I could capture in the photograph, they measures between approx. 1.1 cms and 1.3 cms.
