Eugene Joseph McCarthy [born March 29, 1916 - died December 10, 2005] he was an American politician and a long time member of the United States Congress from Minnesota. He served in the U.S House of Representatives from 1949 to 1959, and the U.S Senate from 1959 to 1971. He also ran for the Presidency of the United States in 1968.Listed for auction is a [TLS] typed letter signed by Eugene McCarthy. The letter is typed on his personal letterhead, Eugene J. McCarthy Washington DC. The letter is dated January 17, 1978, and is a lengthy response for his autograph. The letter is in fine condition, measures 7.25 x 11.25 inches and is nicely signed Eugene McCarthy in black felt pen. Check out my other items !
