Euphonics tonearm with stereo semiconductor pickup. This is not a typical ceramic pickup but a straingauge that requires a special power supply (included) that applies 14v to each channel's element. The power supply, however, has an intermittant crackling noise in one channel when the unit is on for a short while - probably a defective transistor. Because of this, I wired a bypass through the PS-15 power supply, to an external breadboarded preamp/power supply that I built (not included) to verify correct operation of the arm/cartridge. Since the power supply unit has to be repaired to work correctly, I left it bypassed. You can easily restore the wiring or build a new external preamp/power supply. I will supply the schematic for the PS-15 power supply if you request it. Extra replacement styli included along with the original. Ships U.S. Mail Priority. Sorry, no overseas. AS-IS. Paypal only.
