Exquisite Euro Carnival Sweetheart! Riihimaki ~TENNESSEE STAR~ Vase **Unique Edge Treatment** **Fabulous Color** (photos taken in both indoor & outdoor light) JUST GORGEOUS! Great example of the intricate ~ Tennessee Star ~ pattern introduced by Finnish Carnival maker Riihimaki in its 1939 catalog. Riihimaki manufactured vases in this pattern in a variety of shapes & sizes .... Simply adorable ... this blue version stands just 5.5" tall! (see photo #2) Unique top-edge treatment -- flared out with 6 large ruffles or scallops (see photo #4). Beautiful soft blue base glass; the blue virtually glows through the base. Fantastic iridescence; just LOADED with brilliant highlights of garnet, copper, peacock blues & greens, pink and gold. Ground base with 6-point star (see photo #5). Top-notch condition. No chips, cracks or other damage; just some tiny air bubbles and a smidge of age-appropriate wear on iridescence as is common with vintage glass.
