This is one of many unusual Evel Knievel items that we will be listing & selling. These items are owned by Kelly Knievel, the oldest son of Evel. Most have been in storage for years. This is your chance to acquire some really RARE & VALUABLE items that seldom come on the market. We guarantee the authenticity of all the pieces that we are selling.
This is a ONE OF A KIND , never to be seen again award received in 1974 by Evel . The award is the American Academy of Achievement Award which is called the Gathering of the Greats. Th actual banquet took place in Salt Lake City on June 29th, 1974. The Board of Governors included Ross Perot, J. Willard Marriott, Leon Jaworski, Willard F. Rockwell, and many others. The awards council included John Wayne, Jonathan Winters, Shirley Temple Black,. Edward Teller, Lowell Thomas, Curt Gowdy, Stan Musial, Bart Starr, Robert Stack, and many more. The other recipients included Paul Anka, Richard DeVos, Malcolm Forbes, Jack Eckerd, Lorne Greene, John Havelicek, Cloris Leachman, James Stewart, Jack Valenti, etc. The list of the past winners is literally a Who's Who of America. The award itseld consists of a beautiful mounted plate in a deep frame & a beautiful book with the stories & pictures of all the winners. Condition is good overall with some definite wear & tear to the frame but very displayable. Book is excellent with nice clean pages & a little wear to covers.
