Humble, disposable aluminum was expensive, luminous, and a new invention a century ago. Wealthy patrons of the arts-and-crafts movement were its original collectors. Skilled artisans chiseled intricate designs into steel plates, over which flat aluminum sheets were hand hammered in reverse repousse. Everlast Bali Bamboo Silent Butler Very little information is available about Everlast as a company. They were one of the most prolific producers of collectible aluminum - yet kept their quality at a premium. Their Bali Bamboo pattern is well known and prized among collectors. This elegant silent butler has the bamboo pattern handle and the the hammered bamboo pattern on the lid. The crumb catcher is about 6" across. Including the handle, this silent butler is about 10-1/4" long. The underside of thelid and the bottom of the body are both stamped with the Everlast trademark. The body is also stamped "B15".
