Eversharp Yellow Cab fountain pen outfit w. cab & box These fountain pens were manufactured about 12 years ago by a group of business man who expected to made a fortune but they made one major mistake. Although the 14 karat gold points were very high quality, they failed to adjust them to the proper writing tension. One had to press very heavily to get the ink to flow to the paper. I offered to adjust all of their points to the proper tension for a very reasonable fee, but they refused. Consequently they went belly up as t were so many complaints. The reputation persisted until the public would not buy the pens and production was discontinued. I still have a few of them left. The pens is an almost exact duplication of the earlier Eversharp Skyline from the 1940s, except they are fitted with a standard converter system. The clips were purchased from Parker who owned the old Eversharp remaining stock. They may also have obtained the original injection molding equipment from Parker. New caps and barrels were manufactured as well as new points, feeds and sections. With the pen is a metal Yellow Cab by Solido, made in France that clearly matches the color and decor of the pen. T is a matching box and the instructions. These are mint, unused fountain pens but the points are properly adjusted by me for very efficient writing. The pen is read more
