In my humble opinion, these are very nice dolls in excellent played with condition. Ladies with full heads of hair, gorgeous faces , eyelashes. Face paint is neat. No damage to ears, no neck splits. No surface marks or stains on the faces or heads. Original outfits and headband/hats ??? Excellent busy talking bodies with fully bendable knees. Ankles, feet and toes are clean and free from marks or stains. Toes and bottom of feet are also neat and clean. Elbows, wrists, and knees bend nicely. Barbie has a coupe of tiny surface marks on their shoulders and very pale blueish shadow on the elbows, though not the usual green circles that you see in most of these busy dolls . These are very subtle and barely visible under certain lights. NO melted plastic in the wrist joints, hands, torsos, butts, crotch or hip joints. All of their thumbs open and close firmly in order to grabb their busy accessories. The ladies knees bend and lock 3X. Ken's knees also bend, his right knee slips off from the 3rd bent position with a slight touch. Both of the ladies' knees lock firmly 3X. Talking boxes have been cleaned thorough and fixed . Limbs have been reinforced before reassemble the talking boxes, so they are actually stringer than new. However, the ladies bodies remains a very weak design so they must be handled very gently with lots of care. When I handle, dress or pack this type of dolls I treat them like fine china porcelain. Arms and legs feel secure and move smoothly forth and back. Nothing feels frozen in place, stuck or melted. They come with their outfits and acceesories. Everything is is good played with condition with barely a few specks / worn spots here and there. No major stains or tears. barbie's green boots are marked Japan, Steffie's square toe shoes are marked Taiwan and Ken's burgundy loafers are marked Hong Kong. The three dolls come with 99% of their original busy accessories including all of the elusive thumblers/cups . Only two small pieces missing are the arms in two of the record players. I added my personal touch with wrists tags specially made for them. They TALK !!!! The three dolls have been nicely repaired to talk. They say each of their six original phrases clearly. The doll with the loudest voice ( less used disc ) is Steffie. Please keep in mind that these are not digital devices with dolby , stereo or high quality sound. These are very rustic talking mechanisms that uses a needle and a spinning disc, just like vintage record players. As with old records you can hear the needles noise over the spinning discs. STEFFIE: Perfect speed, a fresh young lady voice, but not childish or speedy. As is common to all of these talking Barbie dolls, she ocassionaly may repeat a phrase or two before going to the next one. She never skip´s phrases. Each time you pull the talking string she has something to tell you. These are the six phrases she says is no particular order: " That music is groovy " , " I love to wear my hair in curls " , " Let's call Barbie now " , " I'm having dinner with Barbie " , " I dig having my own TV " , " The new fashions are wild " . BARBIE: Perfect speed, a fresh young lady voice, but not childish or speedy. As is common to all of these talking Barbie dolls, she ocassionaly may repeat a phrase or two before going to the next one. She never skips phrases. Each time you pull the talking string she has something to tell you. Volume is Ok, just not as loud as Steffie's. These are the six phrases she says is no particular order: " There's a new rock show on TV ", " Why don't we put on some music ", " I think I'll call Ken " , " Help me fix my hair ", " Let's get together for dinner " , " I'm making a new dress for the party ". KEN says: Nice speed , a young guy voice, may be a couple of revolutions faster than another Talking ken I have, but not childish. As is common to all of these talking Barbie dolls, he ocassionaly may repeat a phrase or two before going to the next one. He never skips phrases.
