DESCRIPTION: A museum de-accession from Ohio. This is a very sweet and lovely handmade summer weight quilt. Pink calico pieced baskets have appliqued handles. The baskets are outline-quilted. The marvelous sawtooth border with a single rope pattern is charming. 76" X 92" AGE: c1890-1910 CONDITION: In very good condition with no odors or stains, rips or tears, wear or thinning. The only imperfection we can find is a bit of attic dust and a gentle washing should take care of this. *** This is a very fine antique applique quilt with museum exhibition in its provenance.
