DON'T JUST WATCH IT - BID ON IT!!!!!! Exactly 25 Feet Vintage Victorian Era Wrought Iron Fencing - NEED TO SELL SO I LOWERED THE OPENING BID AND INCLUDED A BUY IT NOW THAT IS LOWER THAN THE LAST AUCTION PRICE!!! This is nice original stuff from a 100 year old home in one of the Elgin, Illinois historic districts. Heavy, even dark black/brown patina with even rusting. Fence sections average 18" - 24" wide per section. Each section connects with a long rod. Some sections were also connected by previous owner with a treated lumber that was 1" square as a wooden post to connect a few sections together w long rod is missing. It looked like the fence exactly! Fencing is 28" tall, super solid. Super heavy. This is not cheaply made at all. Very heavy grade iron. 58 finals are intact and in nice shape on the fence tops! A few finials are missing (5 or 6). Not many. Some of the long connecting rods are missing but not many. (These are what connect section to section and allow the sections to act like hinges and 'bend' around a curve or corner. These are only a simple 24" rod and are easily replacable from a major home repair center / big box home improvement store.) Many sections have a wrought iron solid hinged latch mechanisms for gate opening & closing. This fencing was used for bordering a garden and looks wonderful. Local Chicago area pick up preferred or local delivery can be arranged for a modest fee. This would look great in someone's garden at their vintage home in time for one of the many 'house walks" in the Chicagoland area or house tours this summer/fall. Or in a backyard around the flowers and vegetable garden. Paypal preferred. Buyer to arrange long distance shipping on own and at your own expense. If drop off is required to a freight forwarder of your arranging, a modest slight drop off fee will be charged as agreed upon for this service. This is really nice vintage wrought iron fencing!
