Click Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery - Now FREE! A wonderful jewelry box, signed with various marks, see photos. Believed to be 1800's Black Forest Germany or possibly Swiss, hand carved with remarkable skill and detail. Amimals, birds, flowers abound - features the ageless conflict between the fox and chickens. Inside is lined and in very nice condition, the lock has a key. Condition appears to be near perfect, no damage of note, no cracks, perhaps a tiny chip or nick or t, no repairs, no glue. Key looks right, fits the lock, feels right but lock does not operate ( at least not with the light effort I have applied.) Marks include a large N or Z that appears to be burned in or branded. A stamped small "o.ut" and a middle size stamped "biut"?? not sure of the last, each digit stamped individually. Please see the photos and ask if you have any questions, or information about the origins of this remarkable box. Thank you!! Your bid is a contract. If you do not agree with the price, shipping or handling, do NOT bid. USA buyer to pay shipping via Priority Mail. I use the USPS Mail System with few exceptions. Insurance required. Handling fees kept to a minimum. International shipping cost will vary, and all customs forms will be filled out correctly. Please do not ask me to do otherwise. Always extra careful Packing!
