Amazing Austrian bronze hen. The hen is in Very good condition. There are only just a few tiny worn paint spots which are very minor and extremely common on old antique pieces such as this. The color of the hen is cream beige except for the some areas on the face. The hen has it's head held straight up and turn as if it were looking at something with curiosity. On each side of the hen there is some form of writing and it appears to read 504 Geschutit, in all caps . On the bottom of the hen's feet are the factory numbers FM 2117. The size of the beautiful hen is approximately 4 1/8 (inches) tall from the ground to the top of its head. And the widest area of the hen is 3 1/2 (Inches), thats from the end of the tail to the end of its head. We are asking 50% less then the wholesale price because we purchased 80% of the state. This was a once and a lifetime opportunity. I cant believe myself to have that many pieces of Austrian bronzes. There is information about the Bronzes. The collection came from a Doctor, who collected old Austrian Bronzes. He donated to Franklin & Marshall College and Phillips Museum of Art. Then the college put the pieces in a local auction and we purchased it. Now we are listing them for the public to buy. This is a great investment and you cant go wrong with it.
