This auction is for an excellent set of Green and Yellow Lily Bookend Planters, made by the McCoy Pottery Company in 1950. This set is extremely hard to find......t has only been one other set on ebay in recent months !! This set is 6 1/2 inches tall, 6 inches across and are 5 inches wide. The base/green section has Lily Leaves and big flowers. The bright yelloe planter sectrion looks like a tulip. Very detailed, intricate design !! Both Pieces are marked "McCoy USA". Both planters are in excellent condition. Minor factory flaws.....like any McCoy from this era.....one very small, light stress mark. No other chips, cracks, damage or repairs. Almost no crazing.....bright original colors.......high gloss !! Truely a great set.....very clean inside and out !! Very, very difficult to find a pair of these bookends !! Not made by McCoy in over 50 years. A GREAT addition to any vintage McCoy collection. Really nice gift item for that special collector in your life. Nice items for your home or shop !!
