This is a no reserve auction for a very handsome, bent meerschaum pipe. Probably dates to the 1910-20's era. It is truly in wonderful condition. About 4 3/4" long with a bowl height of about 2 1/8".
Chamber has been reamed, although the pipe had seen very limiting firings. Amber stem is beautiful. It is of high quality without any inclusions and exhibits only one minor underside bitemark. Metal (brass?) collars are very well designed. Chamber collar shows a few, almost nonexistant, tap marks. Meerschaum exhibits a few light scratches. Black case is gold trimmed, velvet lined and in fine condition. Your questions are welcomed. Please note: The stem has not been removed from this pipe for some time and has solidified to the screw tenon. We chose not to apply additional pressure knowing that might cause breakage of the stem.
