This auction is for a nicely signed Slazenger V500 mini cricket bat. The bat is from the Australia A Tour to England in 1995 and it has many of the players autographs who were just about to break in to the Australia Test team and become the world-beating side who swept all before them for the next ten years.The bat has been signed by the batsman and future Australia Captain, Ricky Ponting, who played in over 160 Test Matches and scored over 13,000 Test runs for Australia in a brilliant career. Adam Gilchrist has also signed the bat, possibly the best wicketkeeper-batsman that cricket has ever seen - he was such a brilliant attacking batsman and a brilliant wicket-keeper. The wonderful pair of opening batsmen, Justin Langer and Matthew Hayden, who had such a long-standing opening partnership for Australia have also both nicely signed the bat.The bat is in very good condition - it is almost twenty years old and it shows virtually no age as it has been stored and looked after very well. The blade with the autographs as well as the Slazenger emblem is in excellent condition and the red rubber grip is also intact, which is unusual for most of these mini bats.This bat is rare and very collectable, this was just an emerging group of players in 1995 and there were not a great deal of autographs collected on this tour.
