Circa late-1930's Vintage Southwestern Blanket Native American Indian style 57" x 72" size. Vibrant colors! GREAT DECORATOR ITEM! Last year I purchased this blanket from a 95-year-old woman who lived in southern California from the late 1930s thru the end of World War II. From time to time she would venture into Arizona w she purchased tourist items. Blanket was part of a group of linens I purchased from her. But because t is an area with remnants of a deteriorated label, I don't think this item is Indian-made. However, the design is definitely Indian. Fairly heavy, feels like a wool blend. Reversible. It is in overall very nice condition. Only major problem is the olive green felt-like trim . Two sides of the blanket's edge have worn away in places or holes in other spots; remaining two sides trim is largely intact with a hole & t One place on the blanket w t's beginning erosion of the fabric (see photo #6). And t is an empty rectangle w a label would have been. Running throughout are what almost look like "lazy lines." But I don't know enough about this to say for sure that's what this is. No odors. Blanket presents quite well, so would make a dynamite wall hanging. Or perhaps the trim could be removed, and different trim applied. $49.99 opening bid AS IS, no reserve. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS.
