This is simply an incredible late 19th century splint melon or egg basket, exhibiting the most incredible deep chocolate patina imaginable. Really a show stopper. It measures 10 inches long and 8 inches tall to the top of the handle which is worn butter-smoothe from being lovingly used. The condition is spectacular. I was only able to locate 2 very small breaks on the bottom of the basket, with no losses at all. I guarantee that the winner will be VERY happy with this one!thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
