THIS SPECIMEN

Magnificent Condor agate, a sensational Condor agate mainly with shades of Blue, Orange, Carnelian Red, Light Caramel, Yellow and Pink in a beautiful degrade, quite translucent with a rare and beautiful crystallization, rare one. Awesome!

It has been highly polished the open face.

This material was discovered in the 90s, they have a wide range of colors and designs in banded and layered agate.

GEMSTONE:

Agate is a striped chalcedony quartz that forms in concentric layers in a wide variety of colors and textures. An individual agate forms by filling a cavity in a "host" rock. As a result, agate often is found as a round nodule, with concentric bands. In ancient times it was said to quench thirst and guard against fever, and agate bowls were very popular in historical Europe.

This particular Agate variety appears only in Mendoza, Argentina.
