This is another exceptional 19th century French enameled reliquary containing a relic of St. Placid.The reliquary measures about 4 x 4 inches and is adorned with 8 cloisonné enameled medallions. The piece carries a Gothic style throughout and the relic chamber shows gold paper rolls surrounding the relic. T is no documentation with this relic but the seal and threads are intact. The relic itself looks like an old stone but I can't say for sure. You are bidding on the exceptional reliquary. Seller pays for shipping within the U.S.A..
