DESCRIPTION: For auction is an exceptional Haviland, Limoges cup and saucer in the Baltimore Rose pattern on the Berrain blank. The set it marked on the bottom with the green, underglazed Haviland France mark and a red, arched Haviland & Co. decorator mark, dating it to circa 1893-1931. The decoration consists of gorgeous pink and yellow roses and green leaves that drape across the cup and the saucer. There is gold accenting on the cup rim and handle, the edge of the saucer, and on the roses. The porcelain is thin and translucent and rings beautifully. CONDITION: The pieces are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The gold is also in very good condition, showing almost no wear. SIZE: The cup measures 2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches across including the handle. The saucer measures 5 3/8 inches in diameter. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: All items will be shipped insured but I do not use delivery confirmation unless requested. The insurance will be included in the handling fee so if you use a postal calculation based on what you think it might weigh, then take into consideration that the additional cost is for insurance and handling.
