Rustic Japanese two-section mizuya-dansu or kitchen chest tansu, early 20th century. Traditionally used to store kitchen utensils and supplies. Enchanting style and distinctive, richly grained cedar wood construction. Splendid construction provides a simple yet distinctive variety of design accents including four cupboards of differing sizes housed by several sets of paneled doors. An assortment of drawer sizes, each adorned with a traditional heavy metal drawer pull, adds interest. A dynamic example of traditional tansu craftsmanship, and a truly eye-catching piece. Very good condition. Dimensions: 59.5" high, 32" wide and 13.5" deep. NO SALES TAX (except in California). This means that delivery costs are almost fully offset by your savings on state sales taxes.
