This fine quality hot cast bronze study of a hunting dog retrieving is superb. Life-like in stature, the detail and patina of this sculpture is exceptional. Measuring 16" High x 25" Long and mounted on a beautiful black Italian marble base. We are unsure of the age of this piece, created very much in the style of Mene, it is one of a fantastic collection of solid Bronze animal sculptures that we have purchased recently. A really marvelous bronze sculpture particularly for those who are canine lovers of this wonderful ever faithful breed. Would be gorgeous in the garden or any other place of display. AA and I travel all over Europe and the Middle East in search of unusual and interesting collectables and giftware. Sometimes we get very lucky and find real treasures; in our ongoing search of rare items we also find works of art that are reproductions of the highest quality, hand crafted and/or painted by talented craftsmen, artists and sculptors.
