This is one of the more beautiful examples of a Victorian garnet necklace we have ever purchased! The design is really unusual with a very art nouveau feel to it, circa 1880-1900. It is rose gold gilt metal (often called garnet gold but it doesn't have significant gold content). The stones are all natural Bohemian garnets and they are beautifully faceted. Along the way someone added an additional safety chain for security, clasp works well. Excellent condition, no missing stones! Measures 17 inches long centerpiece is just under 3 inches wide.
