Welcome and thank you for visiting our auction. We list a number of items nearly every week using the No Reserve format, regardless of the value of the item. We like to keep our starting bids reasonable to give everyone an opportunity to win a fine antique or treasure. Before I begin this description I would like to comment that I have in my personal collection one perfume bottle which exactly matches this set. I inherited it from my grandmother in the mid-1960s, so I do know that this is an old pattern. I found this set recently at a local auction, and I thought it would be a nice item to present to you. I'm not an authority on pressed glass. I would probably attribute this set to either Imperial Candlewick or Paden City Glass. All of you with the reference books and the experience should feel free to email me if my assumption is incorrect. As you can see in the pictures, this is a beautiful and elegant set. I should confess that I considered keeping it, because I don't have the matching tray. But I bought it for all of you, so it is. The two bottles are in very good condition. You will see a few tiny flakes at the bottoms of the stoppers, and each of the bottles has a bruise/chip to the underside (see photo with arrows).
