I have managed to find some information about the artist; Painter born in 1915 primarily in oil born in Newcastle and spent his early years at the University of College London and the Central School of Arts and Crafts. He became an art master and senior lecturer in art. The spirit of place was a key element sought after in his pictures. He exhibited widely in London at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and the RA Summer exhibition. He won a silver medal at the Paris Salon and the Cornelissen Prize in 1990 at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual show. The University College and Nuffield Foundation hold examples.
