LARGE, HEAVY BOWL WITH EXTREMELY SHARP, COMPLEX PATTERN This auction is for a beautiful piece of vintage cut glass! Although the bowl is unmarked, I believe it is from the American Brilliant period. I am unable to identify the pattern or maker, however, it is much like the style of Higgins & Seiter. It has a scalloped, saw-toothed rim and lots of hobstars and inverted fans. It has thick walls with an abundance of intricate, deep cuts with sharp edges. As the closeup photos show, this bowl has an extraordinary amount of decoration and cutting. The bowl measures 8" in diameter and stands 3 1/2" tall. The bowl is in very good condition; sparkling and brilliant! No cracks, chips, cloudiness or repairs. T is minor wear on the base w it sat on the shelf or table. The rim has a few tiny flakes and nicks, but none are seriously broken or missing. The handblown blank is heavy and thick -- the unwrapped weight of this piece is 4 pounds. Please see my other auctions for more collectible glass, silver, pottery and china. If you win multiple auctions, shipping will be cheerfully combined. International bidders are welcome -- however, I do not take paypal. International buyers will need to make payment using an International money order is US funds only! Canadian bidders can make payment with Pink Canadian Postal money order in US funds. read more
