Exquisite Antique Persian Tea Set LooK!! 19 pieces!
Sold For:
TREASURE!! I purchased this set from a Lady from Iran. She told me that the Tea set pictures the King, or Shah, from over 1000 years ago. She had owned the set for 30 Years. After doing my research I found the Shah to be Nasir al-Din Shah is a brief history of the Shah: In the 1850s the Persian Shah Nasir al-Din Shah laid seige to Herat to regain this historically Persian city from Pashtun control. Britain saw this as a major move in the Great Game and a precursor to the loss of India to the Russians. To stop the Persians Great Britain invaded persia taking Bushire on the Persian Gulf. The British then pressured the Persians to give up Herat and return it to the Pashtuns. Persia is now Iran. The set is wonderful! It is missing one plate. One plate has a little gold faded on one edge. One plate is chipped (shown). T are 6 spoons, 3 of one design, 3 of another. The first spoon is worn between the spoon and handle. The rest of the set is in incredible condition for its age! I hope you enjoy seeing it! Last time listing this exqusite set...will go to Auction House QUESTI0 NS???
