I am pleased to present this wonderful Antique Carved Coral and Ornate 14K Gold Mount Brooch and Earrings. This a truly beautiful demi-parure. The brooch features deep rich red orange shade of coral, beautifully carved in the shape of a large flower. It has a flower bud on either side of the large flower. It is surrounded with a very ornate and intricate leaf and foliate setting. The leaves and scrolls have an antique gold finish (see photos), the frame is shiny gold.The brooch measures just under 2" without the extended pin (2" to the end of the pin) and 1-¼" across. It has the old c-clasp and barrel hinge. It is in excellent condition. The matching screw back earrings measure 1-¼" top to bottom and a little over 5/8" across. T is no mark but the frame and foliate design tested 14K. The pin shank and screws on the earrings did not, which is probably quite common. One of the earrings appears to have a different shape petal. At first I thought it might be a small piece that chipped but it might just be the way it was carved, hard to tell but looking at the pieces, you would not notice it. Antique pieces with this quality and detail are very difficult to find. I will be offering some fantastic pieces, all from the same New Hampshire estate. They are fresh from the old estate and part of a private jewelry collection . They are some of the most beautiful antique pieces I have seen. I will be offering them on Ebay so check my auctions for some special jewelry! Many Victorian mourning and hair pieces.
