Exquisite Clear & Frosted PEACOCK Cake Plate

Mom was the glass collector of the family, so now we're doing our best to identify pieces and pass them on to you. Our pictures do not do this cake plate justice. It's absolutely stunning clear glass with a design of two peacocks sitting on a branch. The birds' bodies, bottom part of the tail feathers, some of the leaves, and the two handles are done in frosted glass. The entire design, except for the frosting on the handles is on the underside of the plate so that the surface is smooth. From top to bottom the plate measures 12 1/4"; handle to handle is 14 1/2". This piece is in pristine condition - t are no chips, cracks or any sign of usage on the surface. This plate would be great for decorating your holiday table, giving as a Holiday gift, or would even make a great wedding gift. This plate weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces on its own. Although it's been fun researching some of these pieces, we are not experts and have been using several references to help with identification, including pattern glass books and Mom's rather extensive log of all of her glassware purchases.
