Exquisite Cranberry Ruby Cut to Vaseline Glass Paper Weight Up for auction is a lovely and very unique piece of Art Glass. This decorative paper weight was given to me as a gift several years ago and was very expensive. I don't know how old it is, it could be pre 1940's or after 1940's so I will have to let you use your own discretion. It is a very heavy cranberry cut to Vaseline paper weight, all hand blown with a fire polished pontil and is in mint condition. The workmanship has exquisite quality with a very interesting shape and design. I believe itâe(tm)s European probably from Czechoslovakia. The tall Vaseline handle reminds me of a feather design and has a large cranberry streak going through the middle- kind of like a quill. The round body is cranberry and has very deep, sharp patterns cut down to the Vaseline glass. This piece has no chips, cracks, hairlines and has always sat on a shelf as a display piece and under a black light itâe(tm)s magnificent. It glows bright neon green as only Vaseline glass does and even under normal daylight conditions it emits a wonderful day-glow as many of the pictures below show. This paper weight is huge, standing 9 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter, it definitely is an eye catcher and has brought me many compliments but Iâe(tm)m getting older and downsizing my home. If you collect beautiful and unique glasswear, Vaseline, Cranberry or Czech glass, or have a paper weight collection then this stunning piece would make an impressive addition and you will not be disappointed. All of the items that I sell are not new but are antique or vintage. I am not a dealer and I'm not an expert in all that I sell but will describe condition to the best of my ability, as accurately as possible and provide as many photos as possible so that you can decide whether to bid or not. Normal wear should be expected in these items and in fact contributes to their character. All items are final and sold as is unless I grossly misrepresent the item. I accept PayPal, money order, cashiers check and personal check. International payment is by Paypal ONLY. Payment is due 10 days after auctions end. If payment is by personal check, item will be shipped after 10 days upon receipt. Insurance is highly recommended on all items especially glass but if no insurance is purchased, I cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. Shipping rates include tracking.
