This cloisonee ginger jar is absolutely stunning and possesses a commanding presence. T are so many wonderful shades of green with some browns and blues interspersed throughout the jar. This is a larger jar measuring approximately 10 1/2" tall, (12" when atop included stand). The width is approximately 8 1/2" wide. The mouth spans 3 7/8", while the lid base is 4 5/8" across. The base is approximately 4". Personally, I have never come across such a wonderfully detailed and colorful ginger jar. The jar is decorated with a floral motif. T are two main flowers amongst a myriad of smaller flowers and leaves. I believe the main flowers to be a Peony and a Chrysanthemum. The chrysanthemum is repeated in smaller fashion. When in a well lit location the colours are vibrant and t are some spots w t seems to be a metallic sparkle. T is also some intricate design encircling the jar opening as well as at the base of the vase and lid. The interior and base is that blue that is almost always associated with cloisonne. I have not found a maker mark or signature. This is a newer jar.I endeavor to be as on target as possible with the portrayal of the merchandise I offer.
