Ruffled Fenton Satin Cased Glass Bowl Wright Pattern "MAIZE" Excellent Condition This is perhaps one of my favorite Fenton pieces for its shape, color, and style.. I love the ruffled edges, the textured pattern, and the pastel color tones. Comes from a wonderful local auction in the Midwest and thought it a great Fenton Art Glass piece. The condition is superb. Period. T are no unwarranted marks,chips, none. However, it certainly needs a fine, soft cleaning. The shape, with the scalloped edges, are subtle and delicately curved. Works well with the corn/maize leaves which pattern the entire exterior of the cased glass. Very nice touch. Love it! The color tones in the pink pastels adds to the softness of the contoured shape. It's a fine piece of Fenton. And it's large! Very large for this form. Measures: 5 1/4"H 5 1/4" Opening 4 1/2" Base The interior cased glass is also fine. Has a wonderful opalescence in full sun. The pink hues are softer towards the scalloped shell opening and deepen to rich, vibrant pinks towards the base. I can tell the original owners displayed this piece with pride. It has been a well-cared for treasure for many years. It's truly a lovely Wright Fenton and would certainly make an outstanding addition to any art glass, cased glass, or Fenton Collection.
