Meissen quality all over this delicate little demi set. The cobalt and gilt decoration are the richest combination they made. From the hand painted floral cartouche to the high swan handle, no detail was overlooked on this set. Swan handle is decorated with gilt accents and meets the cup in it's own sweet little fashion. Gold accents around the base of the cup, the center of the plate and rims. The cup measures approximately 2 1/2" high. To the tip of the handle it is 3 1/8" h. and the saucer is 4 3/4" diameter. The numbers 744 are impressed as well as 34L and a red painted 5. This is not a second. I believe it dates around 1920's, possibly a little later. The crossed swords on the plate almost looks like it has the pommel and it may have been a transitional marking. T is a slightly larger version of this cup and saucer(a floral pattern) in Harran's Meissen Porcelain ID and Value Guide(Collector Books 2006) on page 66. Please see photos. Email with any questions. T are no repairs, no gilt wear and no damage. I accept money orders and personal checks(US only, allow time to clear bank) as well as PayPal. Actual shipping cost to be calculated upon winning bid. Thanks for looking.
