Exquisite Moser-Salviati Decanter and Cordial Set-LOOK!

Fresh from the estate of an advanced art glass collector, is an exquisite set including a decanter and four wines or cordials that was made in Murano (probably by Salviati) and decorated in Bohemia (almost certainly by Moser). Before Moser began producing its own glass in 1895, it purchased glass from Italy and Central Europe for it's decorators. In addition, Salviati sometimes sent it's glass to Moser for decoration and then marketed the end product in it's own gallery so the collaborative work between the two firms has a documented history. In addition to the hand painted Baroque designs on all the pieces (including the stopper), each piece has pinched rigaree "handles" (three short spiraling ones on the stopper, three vertical ones on the decanter, and two each on the stem of each glass--all with gold ends). Before the gold designs were hand painted, an under layer of enamel was painted to add depth, opacity, and relief to the designs. Finally, the decanter and glasses have double gold rims. With stopper in place, the decanter is 10.25 inches tall (26.0 cm) and each glass is 3.75 inches tall (9.5 cm). This set is in NEAR MINT condition--t is some (minimal) wear/loss of gold around the top and bottom rims of the glasses--but t is ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE! This set is a gorgeous example of artistry and makes a real statement so don't hesitate to bid! Please see our other auctions for additional offerings of fine art glass and antiques. Kansas residents must add sales tax. Questions always welcomed. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND BIDDING!
