EXQUISITE SCALAMANDRE SILK CLASSICAL LAMPAS 2yd~$370.y For the discriminating connoisseur I have just the ticket. This lampas is the essence of Scalamandre. It is called "Classical Lampas" #26035-002. It is a silk, spun rayon and linen blend but it feels more like yummy heavy silk satin. It has a wonderful luminescence that gives it a special richness and depth but made it difficult to photograph and actually capture its true beauty (so if you like the photos, you will love the real thing). This is the kind of fabric Scalamandre is known for, beautiful opulent luxurious and drop dead gorgeous. The colors are called multi creams on tarragon; I would say gold and creams on celadon. The celedon is closest to # 72 and #73 on the oac chart. The vertical repeat is approx 30" and the horizontal repeat is approx. 26".This is a medium weight fabric good for upholstery and drapery applications. I am going to show this fabric in the red colorway just because the design shows better in the more contrasty red and white color, you can see how beautiful the design really is (see last 3 photos). Scalamandre sells "to the trade only" and this puppy sells for $185.00 per yard. That is the wholesale price, not the retail price which can be as high as $370.00 per yard. This piece measures 2 yards long by 54" wide (the retail price is over $700.00 for this piece). Please take advantage of this opportunity to get this quality fabric for pennies on the dollar.
