This is a beautiful and tall Limoges Candlestick pair that is signed by artist L. or E. Fuhr. This set is so exquisitely and expertly painted that I think this is a professional artist; not only from the way it is signed but because of the outstanding artwork. The Forget Me Nots are beautifully painted in sprays around the front and the sides of the molds. T is delicate gold scroll work around the top of the soft baby blue part of the Candle Holders. This artwork is very similar in style to Minni Luken's works. The molds are tall and graceful; the bottom and the tops are painted in outstanding gold. This set must have been in a cabinet all it's life because it is in superb condition; paint and gold wise. I doubt that t were ever candles used in this pair! What an exquisite set! The Candlesticks stands 9 1/4" tall and have a diagonal base diameter of 5 1/2". They are in superb condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. The artwork, the colors and the gold are first-rate.
