My father opened his jewelry store in 1932 and sold it in 1969. This item is part of his estate. I have been a diamond dealer and bench jeweler for the past 32 years. The clasp is 14 karat solid white gold(it is not gold plated or gold filled). It measures 13/16 of an inch high, 3/4 of an inch wide, and 3/8 of an inch thick(the thickness is measured from the bottom of the clasp to the top of the pearls. It weighs 7.52 grams. The 3 cultured pearls measure 6mm each. The 3 center diamonds have a combined total weight of 1/3 carat. On the edge of the clasp are 21 diamonds having a combined total weight of 1/2 carat. All the diamonds are genuine and natural, averaging G-H in color and VS in clarity. All measurements and weights are close approximations. This clasp is currently set up to be used as a double strand bracelet or a single or double strand necklace. I have shown 3 pictures of the back of the clasp to show you the great amount of workmanship that has gone into this fine piece of jewelry. This type of workmanship is reserved for the finest jewelry. Based on the scrap value of the gold in this piece and the wholesale value of the diamonds, the breakup value of this piece would be about $500, which does not include the cost of labor. The current replacement value of this clasp is $2,200. We only ship to the United States . Shipping is $15.00 which includes insurance. If using paypal we will only ship to a confirmed address.
