EXQUISITE VINTAGE JAPANESE KOKESHI DOLL - 1950s Offered here is one of the most beautiful Kokeshi dolls that I have seen. The balance of her form is unparalleled, and the depth and detail of the painted design is outstanding. She stands just over 7" tall, and is 2" wide at the widest part of her head. For being over 50 years old and so intricately painted, she is in remarkably great shape. Please reference the photographs for condition. Since I was privy to her provenance, I know that she was purchased in conjunction with an International museum exhibition in the late 1950s.
