This is one of the finest trophies I have ever owned. The piece was from a mixed foursome handicap tournament and was played in 1915 at Merion Golf Club. The silver trophy is finely made and always has maintained a perfect shine finish. It was sold from J. E. Caldwell of Philadelphia and the piece is stamped V2949 as well. Merion Golf Club has a long tournament history with the USGA and of course Bobby Jones won the U.S. Am t in his grand slam year. The height of the trophy is a full twelve inches which is larger than most. A quality early piece of American Golf from a quality golf club. Buyer pays $12 priority mail shipping in the cont. U.S..
