Frost Fairies - Delicate Dance of Winter The Walt Disney Classics Collection item number for this sculpture is 4001776 . The incised annual production mark for this piece is the Glass Slipper from Walt Disney's Cinderella. This sculpture was produced in 2005 in an extremely limited edition of just 500 pieces that sold out on its day of release. This piece - as the name implies - is extremely delicate. It is rumored that 50 or more sculptures in this edition of 500 may have been damaged in shipping. Due to the extremely limited edition size - further reduced by the high number of pieces damaged in shipping - this exceptionally collectible and highly prized sculpture sells for more than $600.00 on the secondary market. This sculpture stands five five (5) inches tall. It is studded with crystals simulating frost. The Frost Fairies are painted in shimmering, etal opalescent paint. This piece is beyond fragile. It must be handled with the greatest of care. The Walt Disney Classics Collection has packaged with incredibly delicate piece in a Styrofoam shell and supports. The upper packaging and supports must be removed to reveal the sculpture. The base of this rare piece is a disc. The Frost Fairies and the autumn leave that they dance and skate about rest on this disc. The Frost Fairies must not be touched in removing this piece from its packaging as the slightest pressure may snap their delicate wings and / or forms. This fragile piece must be lifted from its Styrofoam packaging form by its base without touching the Frost Fairies. Please allow sufficient time to determine how best to remove this sculpture so as to avoid touching the Frost Fairies. This sculpture is in mint condition and comes from a private collection. It has been stored in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment since its purchase. It has never been displayed. It has only been removed from its original box for purposes of inspection and to be photographed for this auction. It is sold in its original box with its unopened Certificate of Authenticity.
