From the Walt Disney Classics Collection... Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse - "...it Was all Started by a Mouse" . This much sought after sculpture depicts Walt Disney with a stuffed, early incarnation of his most famous creation - Mickey Mouse The Walt Disney Classics Collection item number for this rare piece is 1213091. This sculpture is one of only two issued to date that features Walt and Mickey together. This beautifully detailed Members Only sculpture stands approximately nine and one quarter inches in height. Production of this piece was limited to the year 2001 in honor of Walt Disney's 100th birthday and was closed in December of that year. The incised production mark for this piece is the Sombrero from Walt Disney's animate short Saludos Amigos. This sculpture is in mint condition and comes from a private collection. It has been stored in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment since its purchase. It has never been displayed. It has only been removed from its original box for purposes of inspection and to be photographed for this auction. This sculpture includes its orginal Certificate of Authenticity and is sold in its original box. The box is in very good condition and shows minimal shop / shelf wear. This sculpture will be shipped by United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail for domestic delivery and insured at his market replacement value.
