Extraordinary 18th Century Chinese 17 in Charger; Deer Allen's Antiques Ltd 10 DAY AUCTION WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL DESCRIPTION: A fine and quite rare large Chinese porcelain dish, decorated in underglaze blue with two deer under a tree, the reverse bearing an artemesia leaf. The artemesia leaf is traditionally associated with the Kangxi reign (1662 to 1722), but the shape of this dish in my opinion is more characteristic of the later 18th century. This rare artifact was originally listed on our Allens Antiques website store for $995.00. We are now having a massive clearance sale and offering it with NO RESERVE! SIZE: 430mm (17 inches) diameter approx. CONDITION: No chips and no restoration. A short firing crack to the rim, glaze crawl to the cavetto, and numerous firing spots and blemishes to both front and rear. Spur marks to rim Please view images carefully. DATING: In my opinion 18th century, but please buy on your own judgment. COMMENT: Stand used for display purposes is not included.
