This is a very rare Antique Chinese / Tibetan Thangka with unique Silk brocade. The brocade indicated that it is from China because it has the Yujin Nanjing Woven dragons on the the thangka. Nanjing or cloud brocade was the highest form of silk back in ancient china. They used real gold, silver, and peacock feathers to make there brocades extremely valuable. Silk was once weighed as gold back in Ancient china or anywere else in the world that used the silk road. The thangka I believe was added on to the brocade, because the best type brocade was usually added on to priceless thangkas. The condition of the Thangka is very good with almost to no major damages. Only concern that the thangka paint has age cracks which is extremely common. The silk is very good condition with very few minor ware areas. Other then that it is ready to go.
