This is a truly stunning and extremely rare antique silver, faux tortoiseshell & ebony walking stick cane dating from the late 1800's which is in lovely condition. There is the most beautiful T top grip which is of quite magnificent t/ shell, there are a couple of chips and marks to the top but it is strong and beautifully marked and this is totally in keeping with an antique cane of this age, below this is a fabulous ornate silver collar with a cartouche which has ornate lettering which resembles a pattern. It is in fantastic condition and is wonderfully tactile, it has the most fabulous patina from many years of being handled and fits perfectly into the hand. I am unable to find a hallmark however it is tested as silver and I believe there may be some slight markings where a hallmark would have been. This style and design of cane dates from the late 1800's. The cane is strong, straight and true with some surface marks but has no major splits or cracks and there is an original brass ferrule to the tip. The cane measures approx 82 cms in length. This truly is a fabulous antique cane of considerable age which is now extremely hard to find and I believe would have been very expensive at the time it was made. This is part of my collection which I am reducing. Please see photos - thanks for looking PLEASE NOTE THE SHIPPING COST FOR OVERSEAS
