Extremely Rare 4 Reales Atocha Coin in the highest quality Grade 1 with very clear beautiful markings. Minted in Potosi Reign of Philip III Coin comes with Certificate of Authenticity with embossed seal in lower right hand corner. Coin # 85A -118529 Weight 11.3 grams Grade 1 After over 350 years under the sea, it is rare to find a coin in Grade 1 condition. This is a gorgeous piece.On September 6, 1622, the heavily laden treasure galleon of King Philip IV's Tierra Firme Fleet struck a reef and sank in a raging hurricane near the Florida Keys. More than two hundred and sixty persons perished and ton of gold, silver and other precious cargo were lost to the sea.
