Description: "COLORFUL, UNIQUE, TOP COLLECTOR PIECE" Wow!!! This is a really interesting, beautiful, and antique mid 1870 Kazak rug from Caucasus Mountains. The region of Kazak consists of the western area of the Caucasus Mountains stretching from Erivan in the south to Tiflis in the North. The present offering is early, perhaps being as old as 130 years. This design is a wonderful medallion design in interesting blue at the red field. It is one of the rare designs that seem to have gotten lost at the start of the Commercial period. Look at the arrows at different colors, many flower design, animals, stars and absolutely gorgeous small geometric figures with outstanding and rare border design. I never saw such as this border design at the Kazak rugs. It is absolutely wonderful piece. Very interesting red field color with gorgeous abrash at top side, white, nice green, olive green, yellow, blue at two different shapes, dark and light natural brown complete this rug and make it so colorful, beautiful, and colorful. Of course all colors are natural and 100% natural. The condition of this rug is good for its age, even pile all over with some small scattered reweaves areas at the field which all of them done by professional work. Also it has some oxidized brown. This rug was made with wool on wool foundation and both ends and selvages are complete and are in good shape, t is original killim at top side of the rug. The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, shiny and handles of this rug like a dream and the design and colors is impossible to describe. The size of this rug is: 6âe(tm)-5"x 4'-7". The rug you see is the magnificent piece produced from the creative work of Kazak region and is a fantastic example of rare and one of a kind 1870 Caucasian rug. Furthermore, because I believe this piece is the most beautiful and unusual Kazak rug with full of elements ever produced in that region. The best of all I offered this rug at very reasonable price that you could never believe that.
