An Extremely Rare Hand Carved German Pipe By the legendary Günter Kittner from Bremen, who was one of the pioneers of the hand carved pipe making in Germany in the early 50s, long before Rainer Barbi, Karl Heinz Joura and other German carvers. Despite being only a part time carver, he created some magnificent shapes, all of which are highly sought after and collectors items. Kittner said to have been good friends with the late Bo Nordh. This gorgeous pipe, an oval Dublin with a triangular shank has a remarkable wavy staright grain around the bowl and nice birdseye on the rim top.Signature gold inlay, featuring the K logo, on the side of the shank. Classy, upper-half-saddle stem. Circa late 60s or early 70s. No filter, no issues to report. Simply in phenomenal condition .
