An extremely fine (60 Raj) Persian (Iranian) Tabriz. Meticulously and patiently woven on a fine silk foundation. The pile is very fine Kork (Lamb's Wool) and silk. There is heavy use of silk around the elegant Shah Abbasi flowers and throughout other design elements. This masterpiece is signed in the area that extends beyond the border into Kilim area. The silk fringes are masterfully tied into a beautiful design. The harmonious and pleasing colors used are cream, rose, pink, gold, green, mauve, Celadon, blues, khaki and brown. The design is an exquisitely drawn complex medallion and pendants surrounded by precise and graceful Slimis. This rug is around 10 years old. It is mint and superb condition and has never been use.
